(The rules are you can't kill another player unless you are in a duel but it is implied that this player has played it so much that not only has he gone on a higher than even the game creators thought possible but basically, and most importantly, this player has no life!). Now I have been a fan of South Park for 7 years and I have got to say that this is one of the best episdoes EVER! This is what South Park is all about! Basically, the kids of South Park have bought the latest game "World of Warcraft" and are enjoying it when a rogue player starts to kill off innocent players. While I loved the episode I'm not sure this would be in my top 5 of all time but for sure is one of the very best from Season 10 and is wonderfully unique. And here the four boys are not cute anymore, they stop doing every other activity for doing the thing that really matters, they have to kill 65,340,285 boars, they will play the game to kill those boars for "7 weeks, 5 days, 13 hours and 20 minutes, giving ourselves 3 hours a night to sleep"! And when they finally reach the objective of killing boars and of killing that tough bad-ass's character (on the paper was almost impossible since how do you kill somebody who has no life?) is time to finally start playing World of Warcraft! So make love, not warcraft! Since some time I really wanted to watch this episode and now that I both have seen this episode and read the comments by other IMDb users I'm pretty sure anyone who come here looking for recommendations will really want to watch Make Love Not Warcraft since most of the comments here claims that this is the very best episode of South Park or at least one of the very best. Is just great since we see people of the company that developed the game and they are the only ones who can help Cartman, Stan, Kenny and Kyle in order to kill that tough bad-ass's character (the stuff with the sword is fantastic, basically the legendary sword is a USB and the one who told the prophecy is in accounting this whole stuff is hilarious!). Here the issue is that one player's character is killing every other World of Warcraft character so it maybe will be a point in which nobody will want to play the game, the end of the world of warcraft can be near. Simply for the look o this episode you should watch it but certainly you will find a lot of great things. So if hearing the South Park boys talking is simply hilarious is more when they make talk their World of Warcraft characters. This is one of those episodes that just by seeing it for like a minute you just totally love it and at the beginning we see the characters in World of Warcraft of Cartman, Stan, Kyle and Kenny and since they play the game online with teamspeak a hilarious thing in this episode is to see the World of Warcraft characters in the middle of something talking about a lot of stuff, like that scene that I mentioned with Ike's character or when a World of Warcraft character says something like: "let's fight because my mom says I have to be in bed before 9". And now after watching it I have to say it is a little gem and certainly the great title is just a plus of this that for me is one of the very best from Season 10. A warrior is in the middle of a battle and he is going to poop in his pants, he also speaks like a baby, he is actually Ike's character in World of Warcraft! This game is the sensation and almost every boy in South Park play it online just like almost everybody in the South Park office, including Trey Parker! Before watching this episode I only knew one thing: it has a truly great title. But again i think using money to reach that goal when the entire satisfaction and enjoyment lies within the journey of perfecting your character is whats important.Īlso this game was designed with the intention of having alts as many systems are implemented to facilitate that.Īt the end of the day if you dont find enjoyment in the game anymore its fine to move on to something that does. Ultimately games are billion dollar industries now so these system also serve a purpose to frustrate certain people that would be more inclined to just swipe away to get there. The higher the stake for failure, the better it feels to succeed. And i believe its made in this way because of what i mentioned earlier. Rng has been a core mechanic to almost every mmorpg in existence. Whearas here you are slowly working towards a goal that is eventually available to you. In wow you could go an entire patch without recieving the bis loot you need. I'd get rid of the gambling and make honing a 100% success every time (while increasing the amount of mats it costs, naturally.)įor all the failures you get, the chance that it succeeds is ever more gratifying and i think it has the right balance of that compared to other games ( bdo or maplestory for example where your items could degrade or even get destroyed entirely)Īlso think of it like getting a piece of gear from a weekly lockout raid. Skill points, strongholds, ships and upgrades, rapport, there's so many other things I can do to advance, that isn't just GS. And have to do it all over again? Fuck that, at least here I can do other things and feel like I'm progressing my character in different ways. But that's ok, I have a full Island run of mats to do on my fresh new t2 character and much more adventure artifacts to collect! I'm not in a rush to hit t3 and given how many raids I've ran in WoW, to finally get the drop I wanted only to lose the roll. I'm still enjoying the hell out of it and I know tier 3 will be even worse, honing wise. Behind on what, exactly? It's an MMO, meant to be played for months and months, years even. I get the frustration on feeling behind when you fail a hone but. Now on Yorn and progressing my way through the story again. Finally pushed through after a little luck and then zoomed from 600->900 ilvl in a single day. I was in the same place as you, took me almost an extra week in T1 because I kept failing my weapon roll. Wishing everyone fun and joy with this game!Īs soon as I stopped worrying about my gear score and just started to play and enjoy the game, I got much more satisfaction. Especially considering the fact that the next attempt might fail again. But I am at the point where pressing it, failing and realizing that I just grinded 3 days for nothing too disheartening to even continue. I'd get rid of the gambling and make honing a 100% success every time (while increasing the amount of mats it costs, naturally.) It was a little bit exciting the first few times, pressing that button and holding my breath to see if I get it or not. However, after many many years of WoW and other MMOs, the genre-identificiation of "daily grinding" the same things feels more like work rather than enjoyment for me.Īs a final note, I'll leave one bit of feedback as to what I personally would change to make the game more enjoyable. It's a good game and I certainly enjoyed a lot out of it. or grind up a few alts to do more dailies, which would speed up the process. My only option? Be content with the fact that I'll sit in T1 for 3 more days, since that's about the amount of time it takes to get 1000 new shards with daily activities. I am done with all the islands, done with all the "one-time" content that give shards. I am locked out of T2 until I can "grind" up another 1000 fragments. This morning I lost another 1000 destruction shards failing to upgrade my weapon from 580 to 600, which totals up to 3 failed attempts and 3000 destruction shards lost. Unthinkable to have an MMO that doesn't hard-feature this attribute at it's core. Which is the daily routine of logging in, doing my dailies, then try my luck at honing from the mats I got and then spend my spare time doing collectible theme park stuff or logging on alts and repeat the daily grind. And the real meat of the game starts in T3, but I think the general formula of it won't change from what I experience now. I know there is a lot more to come with T2, T3 and content beyond that. I've reached the end of T1, beat all the guardians up to and including Tytalos, collected ~700 mokoko seeds, did 20 island tokens, cleared the Abyssal Dungeons and explored all of this on a Soulfist and Deathblade. This is just me personally, of course, but I get tired out very fast these days with the usual MMO treadmill. Thanks for an awesome bikini!.B.K.“Received the suits today! They are awesome! The Archive Team Panic Downloads are full pulldowns of currently extant websites, meant to serve as emergency backups for needed sites that are in danger of closing, or which will be missed dearly if suddenly lost due to hard drive crashes or server failures. Otherwise, you are free to dig into the stacks to see what you may find. If you are seeking to browse the contents of these collections, the Wayback Machine is the best first stop. Our collection has grown to the point of having sub-collections for the type of data we acquire. Thanks to the generous providing of disk space by the Internet Archive, multi-terabyte datasets can be made available, as well as in use by the Wayback Machine, providing a path back to lost websites and work. This collection contains the output of many Archive Team projects, both ongoing and completed. The main site for Archive Team is at and contains up to the date information on various projects, manifestos, plans and walkthroughs. Our projects have ranged in size from a single volunteer downloading the data to a small-but-critical site, to over 100 volunteers stepping forward to acquire terabytes of user-created data to save for future generations. Archive Team believes that by duplicated condemned data, the conversation and debate can continue, as well as the richness and insight gained by keeping the materials. With the original point of contention destroyed, the debates would fall to the wayside. History is littered with hundreds of conflicts over the future of a community, group, location or business that were "resolved" when one of the parties stepped ahead and destroyed what was there. The group is 100% composed of volunteers and interested parties, and has expanded into a large amount of related projects for saving online and digital history. Formed in 2009, the Archive Team (not to be confused with the Archive-It Team) is a rogue archivist collective dedicated to saving copies of rapidly dying or deleted websites for the sake of history and digital heritage. Yet the more men choose to keep a sweater on their upper lip, the better because the mustache has magnetism and boldness that no beard can ever match. There will always be Movemeber, hipsters, and bartenders to keep the look afloat. But, in the same way that rock music is kept alive by a select few, the moustache will never entirely disappear. With some bitterness, I have resigned myself to the fact that moustaches will probably never be on par with beards or a simple clean-shaven look in terms of popularity. So you should trade in that beard, or upgrade your baby face, to rock one for more than just one month of the year. It is a worthy cause… but moustaches are not ridiculous: they are fantastic. If you, like many, sport a moustache for just that one month, you are inadvertently saying: “This thing is so ridiculous but let’s all look ridiculous together for a good cause.” Unfortunately, for all the good that Movemeber brings in terms of awareness and fundraising for men’s health, it comes at the moustaches expense.īy encouraging men to grow out a moustache for one month of the year, we utilize society’s perception of the moustache ( hypersexual, macho, pretentious, creepy, etc.) and thus reinforce it. If the moustache can be used to create a space where we can have those difficult but essential conversations, that is a great thing. Men’s health is no joke, and many of us shy away from opening up on our best days. Now do not get me wrong here: Movemeber is a super important movement. I would love to know when society arrived at the mutual understanding that moustaches are “creepy.” Something so archaic, goofy, and “improper” that the only time it is ever acceptable to sport one is for one month of the year as a fundraiser. The attachment combs on clippers are generally marked by grade to make choose the correct cutting easier. A No1 is 3mm (1/8 inch) while a 0 (called 0.5 on some clippers) is a mere 1.5mm (1/16 inch) in length. One of the most popular cutting lengths, a number 2 leaves hair 6mm (1/4 inch) long. If you cut your own hair all the time it’s obviously worth investing in something built to last (Wahl ones tend to have the longest warrantees if you’re looking for something you’ll use for years). How much you spend on our hair clippers will probably depend on how important a piece of grooming kit you consider them to be. How much should I spend on hair clippers? Finally, a T-blade trimmer (one with blades shaped like the letter T when the guards are removed) will help you with the finishing touches around the ears and neck. These levers allow you to adjust the cutting length incrementally, enabling you to alter the cutting length without switching guards. If you’ve had your hair clippered at a barbers you’ll have noticed that the clippers they use often have little taper levers on the side. Hair clippers will come with guards that slip over the blades, allowing you to adjust the cutting length to suit your style. Wahl is a popular brand among hairdressers and barbers when it comes to hair clippers but, in the end, it’s all about what fits your personal needs best. Hair clippers FAQs Which hair clippers do barbers use? It’s not the cheapest hair clipper on the market, for sure, but it’s definitely one of the most stylish and feels like it’s been built to last. What’s more, the blades are specially angled to cope with curly hair as well as the straight stuff. Best of all you can adjust the lengths in tiny 0.5mm increments via a little dial, so it’s great for graduated fades. The two separate hair styling guards (one for short cuts and one for longer ones) offer lengths from 0.5mm (with the guards removed) to 20mm. Sleek and minimalist, with a matte back finish, it’s beautifully designed and feels robust and solid in the hand. Unlike other kits around you start with the hair and beard trimmer and buy different heads depending on your needs – as well as a nose and ear hair head, for example, there’s a foil shaver head and even an electric toothbrush one. It took Panasonic forever to come up with a multifunction grooming tool to compete with ones offered by its rivals but when you hold it’s modular personal care system you can see why: a lot of care and attention has gone into it. “Then use the trimmer without the guard to tidy up the areas around the ears and finish off by blending any facial hair into the sideburns – again flicking out from the head.” “Place your fingers alongside where you need to shave up to as a guide, follow your head shape and gently flick the blades outwards as you’re cutting, going down a grade at the lower parts,” he says. There are plenty of online tutorials to help hone your trimming skills but in terms of basics, celebrity hairdresser Luke Benson recommends cutting hair when it’s dry, combing it through to eliminate tangles and starting on a longer length setting, working your way down, to reduce the risk of mistakes. If achieving graduated fades is important, opt for clippers with taper levers or digital adjusters that allow you to change cutting lengths in minute increments. Cordless ones, meanwhile, are good if convenience and manoeuvrability are key – look for Lithium-Ion batteries, which tend to be longer-lasting. Mains-powered “corded” clippers – the ones used by pros – are a good choice if you’re going to be doing a lot of cutting and are looking for longevity (there are no batteries to wear down). Before buying, though, it’s important to find the right clipper for you. And, as many men discovered out of necessity during the pandemic, cutting your own hair isn’t nearly as tricky as you might imagine. With the average man’s haircut costing around £15, a hair clipper is likely to pay for itself in just three or four cuts and, if looked after properly, will last for years, making it a pretty sound investment. What’s more, they allow you to change your style at will. Have them in your grooming armoury and you’ll never have unsightly neck hair, and with only basic skills and a little practice, you’ll also be able to maintain your existing cut for longer – extending the time between barber visits and saving time and money in the process. There are plenty of reasons to invest in a set of hair clippers. |
